Okay, Art Fans, I've survived a whole year...
I have just survived my first year after breast cancer.
I don't need to get another mammogram for a whole year, an important symbol of recovery,
because that is how it used to be before I was diagnosed with cancer.
So, I am very happy and very grateful to be here still. However, I am still struggling to cope with
the continuing ramifications of long-term and late effects of cancer treatment.

I have also discovered anew the fact that making art & entering juried shows takes a lot of energy,
which I haven't had much of for many months now. But I recently took part in a research study on
cancer related fatigue which may help future cancer survivors not only make it through
the "scorched-earth" protocol of cancer treatment, but get their lives back in full.

I have been keeping up my blog, which you can visit through the icon below.
Don't be afraid! It's not a maudlin dirge, but a feisty, fun excursion that has even
won a few awards so far in its short life! You can laugh at cancer if you try hard enough.
So, let's kick cancer's butt!
